❓ Frequently Asked Questions
What is T-account format in a voucher?
T-account format places Debit (Dr.) entries on the left side and Credit (Cr.) entries on the right side. In double-entry bookkeeping, total debits must always equal total credits — shown by the balance indicator.
What goes on the Dr. (Debit) side of a payment voucher?
In a payment voucher, the Dr. side shows the expense or asset account being increased (e.g., Purchase A/c, Salary A/c, Rent A/c). The Cr. side shows the cash or bank account being reduced (e.g., Cash A/c, Bank A/c).
What is a journal voucher?
A journal voucher (JV) records internal adjustments like depreciation, accruals, or corrections that don't involve cash. Debit and credit entries must balance. Common examples: Depreciation Dr. / Machinery Cr., or Prepaid Expenses Dr. / Cash Cr.
Which currencies are supported?
14 currencies: INR (₹), USD ($), EUR (€), GBP (£), AED, SAR, PKR (₨), BDT (৳), JPY (¥), CAD (C$), AUD (A$), SGD (S$), MYR (RM), ZAR (R). The symbol updates across the preview and Excel file.
