How do I calculate 20% of a number?
Multiply the number by 0.20 (or 20/100). Example: 20% of 350 = 350 × 0.20 = 70. Use the "X% of Y" mode above.
How do I calculate a percentage increase?
Percentage increase = ((New - Old) ÷ Old) × 100. Example: price went from $80 to $100 = ((100-80)÷80)×100 = 25% increase.
How do I find what percentage one number is of another?
Divide the first number by the second and multiply by 100. Example: 45 is what % of 180 = (45÷180)×100 = 25%.
How do I calculate a discount percentage?
Discount % = ((Original Price - Sale Price) ÷ Original Price) × 100. Example: was $200, now $150 = ((200-150)÷200)×100 = 25% off.
